The Union County Council (“County Council”) will be accepting applications for three (3) members for appointment to the newly created Union County Capital Project Sales Tax Commission (“the Commission”). The six member commission will consist of three members appointed by County Council and three members appointed by the municipalities of Union County, for the purpose of considering proposals for funding capital projects within the county area and the formulation of a referendum question which is to appear on the ballot.
All who are at least 18, eligible to vote and reside within the boundaries of the County are eligible to apply to be a member of the Commission.
County Council will accept applications until the three County appointed positions on the Commission are filled.
Applications are available in the Union County Supervisor’s Office, located at 210 West Main Street, Union SC, 29379.

The Union County Council will hold a special meeting immediately following the meeting of the County Council Committee on Law Enforcement, Judiciary and Recreation on Monday, November 25, 2019 to consider a vacancy in the Clerk of Court’s Office, to consider a vacancy in the IT Department, to consider a vacancy on the Board for the Bonham Fire District, to consider a vacancy at Alcohol & Drug Abuse and to hold an executive session to discuss a personnel matter. The public is invited to attend.
