Job Title: EMS Director
Union County is seeking applicants for the position of EMS Director. Under very limited supervision the EMS Director reports to the County Supervisor; and is responsible for working with the County Supervisor and his support staff to administer the County’s EMS Division. The qualified candidate must be organized, detail oriented, skilled with computers and other technological equipment, be knowledgeable in medical billing practices, and principles of financial management as well as trained and up to date with all OSHA, SCDHEC, and SC Bureau of Drug Control compliance issues in regards to EMS Operations in the State of South Carolina. Minimum training and experience should include graduation from a technical school and at least 6 years of experience in emergency medical services work which must include supervisory and scheduling experience. Requires SC Paramedic Certification and the ability to instruct ACLS, PALS, and BLS training. A detailed job description is available on the County website at www.countyofunion.org
